100 Posts In - Journalism & Art!

Hello fabulous people! This marks the 100th post on The Dewy Blog! So happy to reach this milestone. Given that this project started in December 2022 (roughly 65 weeks ago), we have completely blown through the "one post a week" goal. It has been extraordinarily liberating to write on whatever I want instead of what I was getting paid to do.

As we go on to the next 100 posts, wanted to provide two updates to the blog going forward.

1. More Journalism

My formal writing has primarily been under my legal name and under various publications, scholarly journals, and other avenues. It's finally time to bring some of that journalism to this blog. I mean, I've done a little on here already. But you're going to see more of it.

It's not going to be typical reporting; there are plenty of people who already do that and are far faster than I. Instead, I'm going to be hunting for odd stories. Our first foray into this is going to be a review of a new opera that I had the pleasure of seeing. It was only showing for one weekend, so, unfortunately, you missed it. But there are some really interesting things that bear further research. Expect that later in the week.

2. Art

I have kept my art projects separate from the blog. Mainly because it would be more work and I wasn't sure how this would develop. Later today, the site will be updated to have a separate "Art" tab, which will give an overview and imagery of the pieces I've made.
