There are plenty of helpful guides to describe vocabulary that is used when discussing trans issues (here and here are two examples). However, everything I saw uses formal terms. If plan to venture into trans spaces, you'll encounter much more than that! Here is a list of some of the informal terms that are bandied about in such spaces.

Blåhaj (proper noun)

A stuffed shark from IKEA that is a kind of mascot for trans people due to its coloring.

"All hail Blåhaj!"

Pictured: The one and only Blåhaj.

Egg (noun)

Someone who is trans but hasn't come out to themselves yet.

"They're such an egg, always talking about how they wished they were the other gender."

Pictured: Egg.

Cracked Egg (verb/noun)

The moment someone realizes that they are trans.

"My egg cracked after I saw Sailor Moon."

Pictured: Another (cracked) egg.

Still cis tho (phrase)

Something eggs say.

"It's always been my dream to have boobs. Still cis tho."

Cishet (noun)

Someone who is cisgendered and heterosexual. See also "the straights".

"Are the cishets okay? "

E or T (noun)

Estrogen or Testosterone, respectively.

"I've been on E for 9 months."

Pictured: Estradiol tablets, one of the most common forms of E. Also nicknamed "feminems".

Orchi (removal of a noun)

An orchiectomy; removal of male gonads.

"I got my orchi scheduled for Tuesday. Can't wait to drop the ball."

Dysphopho (noun)

Gender dysphoria, a horrible feeling I do not recommend.

"The dysphopho was particularly bad today."

Euphopho (noun)

Gender euphoria, pretty much the opposite of dysphoria.

"I got some of that sweet sweet euphopho."

Celeste, Guilty Gear and Fallout: New Vegas (nouns)

Games that are currently popular within the trans community. Celeste from Celeste and Bridget from Guilty Gear are trans women. Fallout: New Vegas is praised for having non-heteronormative characters, dialogue options, and romantic interests. See also Stardew Valley.

"I really identify with Celeste. Still cis tho."

Pictured: Fisto, the robot you program to be a sex bot for a quest in Fallout: New Vegas. No joke.

For clarity, this is not an example of the inclusive nature of the game. It's just funny to me.

Transition Goals (noun)

A character or person that a trans person wants to emulate. See also gender envy.

"Reagan from Inside Job is transition goals."

Transbian (noun)

A trans woman who is also a lesbian. (Don't use unless someone else uses it first.)

"Dewy is my favorite transbian."

Deadname (noun/verb)

A trans person's old, pre-transition name.

"My parents keep deadnaming me and it's driving me up the wall."

The feminine/masculine urge to... (phrase)

Something you say before you do something gender affirming.

Normal: "The feminine urge to put on estrogen patches."

Sarcastic: "The masculine urge to wear a bra."

Adios to all you eggs, cracked eggs and cishets! Until next time!
