Things have been quite crazy and also not at all. I've been a lot more tired lately, both physically and creatively. The first is a side effect of parenthood (absolutely worth it but I'm still exhausted). The second is a side effect of having a number of other creative ventures and new projects I'm working on.
I quite enjoy doing the blog and I will continue! Things just may be a touch more sporadic. Like you'll probably see more like one or two larger posts in the month and then the rest are more... well like this one. Plus, some of the bigger posts take quite some time to cook and I can't have them going for every single post.
I did my first public poetry reading a little while ago. That went really well actually. It was so fun turning all the stuff I've written into a show. Stay tuned for more!

I've also started doing tarot readings at establishments in addition to my public ones. For these, I've taken on a "pay what you wish and as you can" model versus my typical "no charge, no tips accepted" model for public readings. This is mainly because I know it is customary but another thing I've learned is that if you say something is free, no one wants it but if you say its like $5, people do. Dumb, but I'd rather give the readings. My public readings remain completely money-free so I can set up wherever I feel compelled, but you should feel free to not pay me at any reading. I don't do this for the money.
Lastly, I played around with having a calendar this year and I've already taken it off of the site. It was too much to keep up with and I really didn't like my whereabouts being that public. If you want to know where you can see me next, just ask me! I know that the front page discourages using contacting me via that, but that's more just so I don't get spam (and it adds to the flavor of the site). Actual inquiries are welcome. Plus, if you know me well enough, you should have my number by now. Just text me. It's the most reliable way of making sure I actually see something.
