Beliefs Subject to Change

In my quest to boldly venture and explore
I waltz through many questionable doors.
Keeping an open mind stays at my core,
but reevaluation remains a necessary chore.
A mind rarely changed becomes quite dull:
"Enlightenment" oft leads to a mental lull.
Your most sincere beliefs should be mulled
if you wish to grow what's inside your skull.
I do not let a source of knowledge restrict.
I believe in many things that contradict.
Not even I can fully understand or predict
what exactly from my studies will stick.
So whatever I argue today, I state in the "now"
unaware of what my future self will disavow
unburdened by what my past would allow
undereducated with the mechanics of how.
If you disagree with anything that I say,
no matter how passionate I am that day,
I'd invite you to make the argument anyway.
Who knows where our opinions will sway?
