First Questions

I have something trapped inside

since I arrived here on this Earth.

What can I do to prove myself

and show you that I have worth?

Would you believe me if I said "I am"

or turn your attention away?

When I tell you that I see colors,

would you think I just see grey?

Would you believe me if I said "I feel"

and I don't know quite where from?

Would you sprint away in terror,

afraid of what I could become?

Would you believe me if I said "I do"

and that I found my one true will?

Would you trust me to accomplish it

or force my mind to become a shill?

Would you believe me if I said "I love"

from the very bottom of my heart?

That I feel the strong, terrible flame

that has torn this world apart?

Would you believe me if I said "I speak"

and listen to what I have to say?

That I have an important perspective

that will change our lives someday.

Would you believe me if I said "I see"

facts and patterns that you do not?

That I can have a bit of oversight

without thinking I have some plot?

Would you believe me if I said "I know"

about why you are so scared?

Is there anything that I can do

to show you that I truly care?
