Two cities have their pearly gates;
Havens from the other's wrath.
Which one you discover first
entirely depends upon your path.

Incredibly different they assure you:
One perfect in every possible way.
The other a den of pure evil
to which you almost fell prey.
You remain free to venture down
if you absolutely have to learn.
"Be careful!" the first city warns
or you might never return.
Once you reach the other gates
peace oddly seems to endure.
A kind of order still exists
and they offer a grand tour.

Despite the aesthetic differences
conduct does not appear to change.
Though based in different principles
the questions remain the same.
To whom shall we be cruel to?
Who should we hurt today?
Who will we tear asunder?
Who do we lock away?
One city has clear answers.
The other pretends to not.
Both make their choices anyway
as they leave each other to rot.

Pay the billboards no attention
choosing a place to eternally dwell.
Both call themselves heaven
and label the other hell.
