The Tyrant

Cruel is the one who thinks they are right

for they know exactly what they will do.

Pretending to care to disarm their prey

creating tailored, piercing bullets for you.

Cruel is the one who thinks they know best

because all outside solutions are wrong.

As the world changes before their own eyes

they embrace weakness perceived as strong.

Cruel is the one who demands respect

(according to their definition of the word).

Treating adults as if they were but children

but any hint of reciprocity is simply unheard.

So beware the despot who says they care

for they've already rationalized your doom.

Will not lose a wink of their rest or sleep

when they send the "unworthy" to their tomb.
