Why Do Nazis Have to Ruin Everything?

NFTs are probably one of the dumber things that came out of blockchain and crypto technology. The fact that the Etherium blockchain can single out an "original" digital file has soooooooo much more potential than playing with obscenely expensive trading cards. Take it from someone who wrote a paper on Bitcoin in 2012 (when Bitcoin was $400, there were no books on the subject and I had to convince my professor that it was a good idea (the same professor that Prison Named Paradise is dedicated to, funny enough)); you haven't seen the end of this. To take the trading card metaphor a bit further, imagine you invented a printing press and people think the only use is printing baseball cards. But progress is inevitable. It'll happen eventually. Just watch.

Pictured: I'm also quite mad at my parents for not allowing me to make an investment then. But tis life.
Before I get into all the meat of the article I want to be clear and unequivocal. Fuck nazis. Fuck racism. If you think you are "better" just because of the color of your skin or some other imaginary division, you're wrong. It's dumb on so many levels. It will be your undoing and I will be among those cheering when you inevitably fall.
But the reason I bring up crypto is that we have also seen an uptick in the so-called crypto-fascists (link if you want to know more about this specifically). I like how that video covered the subject, so I won't go into too much detail. But suffice to say that crypto has a real nazi problem. In fact, the whole world does. And there are areas I once felt at home in that now feels tainted by hate. So let's talk about it!
Part 1: Various Numbers and Terms as Dog Whistles
A dog whistle is something that, on its own, will slip under the radar but people "in the know" will catch and understand. Dog whistles are not universally bad and can refer to basically anything from inside jokes to lesser known terms.
Numerology can be fun but has a whole host of dog whistles (and not all of them are malicious). I personally enjoy dropping a certain nice number into various contexts. I even wrote a poem on that one for my 69th post. The number 42 is another dog whistle for Douglas Adams fans while adding a zero to the end of that number references something completely different. But various numbers have been coopted by the nazi movement too. If you ever see the numbers 14 or 88 (or 1488 for a double whammy), congratulations! You have nazis nearby. Once you are aware of this, you'll start seeing it everywhere (unfortunately).
You can also innocently stumble upon these terms as well. For example, you may have noticed the new "projects" tab that I made to showcase what I'm working on outside of the blog. In one of those descriptions, I discussed the history of a short film I did with my brother, partner, and good friend (3 different people to be clear), Tri-Scare-Atops.

Pictured; A funny short film that has nothing to do with nazis and is just a fun time.
If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you watch it. It's a terrible horror movie in all the funniest ways. The full film is available to watch from that tab.
But, when I initially created that page, I put in the backstory that a "group of creatives" were stranded and had nothing to do. As I was writing this article, I remembered that The Creativity Movement exists. Sounds like a nice time, right? Nope. They're just another kind of neo-nazi. And I want to make sure that the great film Tri-Scare-Atops was not tainted. So I changed the description to say a group of friends. Probably unnecessary, but I try.
One of the other things about dog whistles is that they are not always used on purpose. So do remember that. Sometimes a 14 is just a 14.
Part 2: The Occult
I enjoy venturing into the unknown and part of my adventures have been into what has been deemed "the occult." At a minimum, it's quite interesting learning to use your imagination to a more full capacity and opening yourself up to mystical experiences and alternative paradigms (though it's so much more than that; all it takes is faith). I can't "recommend" it, but I can say that it is a very interesting path to walk down. If it ends up being part of your path, I wish you the absolute best.
However, as part of my ventures, I found out that the occult also serves as a gathering place for nazis. Indeed, I've been told that the New York lodge of Ordo Templi Orientis has a particularly bad problem (I truly hope I'm mistaken but I trust my friend). I was wanting to attend one of their services and now I've lost the (demi)urge.

Pictured: The Lamen of OTO.
To be clear, I don't think the organization itself is a nazi organization nor do I believe that Thelemites are nazis. Because they aren't.
Indeed, a central tenet is promoting Light, Life, Love and Liberty. But I'm keeping my distance from this lodge specifically.
Also, I'm don't consider myself to be "gnostic" per se and I know it's not the same sect, but the pun was right there.
This carries over to occult-adjacent activities as well. For example, I occasionally enjoy the band Twin Temple, which is a band that specializes in Satanic D0o-Wop. It's quite something. But I had a friend that went to their recent show in New York City and... apparently it was like a nazi pride event with everyone coming out with their swastikas and death's head laden clothing. I'm glad I didn't go and I don't plan on going to one of their events because of it. Looking at the band's website, I don't think the band themselves are a part of this, but its enough to keep me away from a concert and not really recommend them.
I do think it is very important to exist as someone against hate in the occult. There is real power there; even if you don't believe in magic, there's power from having networks of individuals. It would be a shame to let that be taken over completely. As long as enough of us exist in that sphere, we can ensure that it doesn't turn into something quite sinister indeed.
IMPORTANT EDIT: Well, the same friend invited me to an event at the NYC OTO lodge to which I responded something along the lines of: "Isn't that the lodge full of white supremacists and nazis?" They clarified that they have encountered some there, but they don't feel the lodge is overrun and that it has gotten better in recent years and apologized if I had gotten the wrong impression. Again, the OTO does seem to have a nazi problem. But if you've been paying attention so far, the point of this article is that just about EVERYWHERE has that. I'm still not the biggest fan of the OTO in general and plan to keep my distance, but I felt it important to add this note as I learned it.
Part 3: Be Better
Speaking of my current projects and occult-adjacent entertainment, let's talk about Hazbin on Broadway! In case you missed it, one of my favorite shows that is currently being produced is Hazbin Hotel, which is a musical set in hell. I enjoy it so much that a team of us are doing a Broadway production of it (in that it takes place physically on Broadway in NYC). It's been quite fun. And I know it's going to become quite the project indeed.
As part of the project, we aren't limiting ourselves to the official soundtrack and also are covering some fan-made songs. For example, we put in the song Insane by Black Gryph0n and Baasik. It came out quite well and I like the plot movement it adds.
Pictured: A shameless plug.
Cut to me looking through the vast amount of entertainment inspired by Hazbin Hotel and I stumble across the original song 7 Years by AD&H Studios. Though the execution was pretty mediocre (me being nice that it's quite bad), there was potential in there. So, I added it to the songs that we were going to do and even went ahead and recorded the audio for it, rewriting and adapting the lyrics for Hazbin on Broadway.
Pictured: Pretty bad, no?
One day, I got the idea to look through the comments under the video.
Now, it would hardly be fair to hold the video creator responsible for the cesspool that are YouTube comments. I think you'd be hard pressed to find videos without terrible comments to them (which is also why I turned off comments for Hazbin on Broadway; it's just not worth it). But I found something worse:

Pictured: Uh oh.
I really hope AD&H Studios was just being dumb and didn't know what they were hearting. It's so blatant that I'm not optimistic though. (FYI, the instrumental track used is not made by the same person and is available for free use provided you give credit, so this is me giving credit). This was enough to make me not want to give the song the platform that Hazbin on Broadway will become.
So the audio sat on my computer, being doomed to not be used in the project officially (and it even held up production of the rest of the series a bit because of the resources/time sunk into rewriting and recording it). However, now that you have all of this context, I want to post this to show that the "non-aryan" version of this song is superior, while keeping it unlisted on YouTube. Take that!
Pictured: The better version of the song.
To AD&H Studios (if you're reading this): If you are willing to own up to your mistake (and perhaps you didn't realize what you were doing), we can talk about maybe getting this back into circulation. Just contact me via the Home Page. But until then, it lives here, it's not going anywhere and I'm not sinking any more work into this song.
Part 4: Conclusion
Nazis are everywhere. It's important to know and defend against hate. I am sorry to be the one to show you all of this, but here we are. Wishing you the absolute best of luck.
Oh yeah. If you are one of my friends and you are a nazi: I thought better of you. If you want to have a dialogue where we help get you out of this mess, I'm here to help. But if you aren't ready to take that step, lose my info. I'll be here if you change your mind (and, for your sake, I really hope you do).
