THE DEWY BLOG

Projects
I have quite a few different projects that I work on or am somehow involved with.
This is a non-exhaustive list of the projects I want to feature!

Type of Project: Video Series
Status: Active/Ongoing
Collaborators: Colleen Griffith, Denise and Trishla
Description: There's a whole video explaining this, but the title is quite literal. It's Hazbin Hotel, filmed on Broadway (and other locations in NYC). The idea is to emphasize the social commentary presented in the series by translating the animated show into real life and tell a slightly different story. Plus, it's just a lot of fun to sing the songs.
Eventually, we plan to do all the official songs in the soundtrack as well as some fan-made songs. All with original vocal tracks and video.

Type of Project: Short Film
Status: Complete
Collaborators: Ian Gregory Blain, Colleen Griffith, Michael Eaton
Description: One fateful Christmas, a group of friends were stranded with not much to do. So they set out to make a terrible horror movie. Within the next 36 hours, Tri-Scare-Atops was written and shot.
Also, I'm not credited as Dewy because this was pre-transition. Deal.

Type of Project: Book
Status: Published!
Collaborators: Just me :)
Description: Have you been craving something… aberrant?
Title Goes Here is a foolish adventure via a collection of curious stories and unusual styles. Through your journey, you will follow a fool’s path to exile, hear from presidential candidate Sally McBride, and even learn how to be invisible.
First on your itinerary is a section of existential poetry that includes a sobering look at the true cost of watches and an attempt to convince skeptical readers of the existence of ghosts. Next are four short stories that range from mildly funny to so abjectly bleak they warrant a trigger warning. Lastly, you are walked through original spells that provide an eclectic viewpoint of magical concepts such as the aforementioned invisibility, summonings, and immortality in a surprisingly applicable and practical manner. Together, your expedition is one of disillusionment. It is my hope that you will be a more foolish person after having read Title Goes Here.
The offbeat and quirky structure ensure you are never in one place for too long. Title Goes Here’s narrative is completely unique, but its unorthodox feel can be compared to Everything (Abridged) by Dennard Dale while its thought experiments would feel at home in The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams.
If you have been around the blog a while, you may recognize some of these poems and stories (and there's some stuff in here that has never been published). However, I've really worked on refining them (and you can see how they fit together to make up something greater than the sum of its parts). I hope you enjoy.

Type of Project: Comedic Television Series
Status: Pilot being shot/produced
Description: Nonya, Bietz & Waxxe LLP is the world's only non-existent, non-service based law firm. Our revolutionary business model is based on extreme discretion.

Type of Project: Book
Status: Manuscript Being Written
Collaborators: Just me :)
Description: The world's most powerful prayer book... for everyone!
Regardless of your personal faith or convictions, the Bible is an incredibly rich text. It is arguably the most powerful book on the planet, being reproduced roughly five billion times throughout human history.
Psalms, put simply, is a prayer and songbook found in the Old Testament. There’s a song or prayer for just about everything that you can run into in life.
As a religious text, it focuses quite a bit on the Abrahamic God. This is not a defect; it is literally the point of the book. However, this focus can lead to the book feeling more distant and less applicable if you are outside of an Abrahamic religion.
The Agnostic Psalms is an attempt to bridge the gap and bring the comfort of Psalms to all who seek it, whatever your chosen deities or religious practice are.
Each Psalm has been reimagined in two manners: First, each Psalm has been modified to have the capacity to refer to whichever god or gods aligns most closely with your practice. Secondly, each Psalm has been restructured to become a more general prayer that can be interpreted in a variety of contexts, such as a prayer to nature or the general concept of the divine.
